6 Days (Code-EP03)
Visit Former President Palace, Giac Lam Pagoda, China Town and shopping at Binhtay Market. Transfer to Vinhlong. Boat cruise to visit bustling market of Caibe and lush orchard islet of Binh Hoa Phuoc. Continue to visit the "Holy see" of Cao Dai Temple. Observe a midday religious ceremony. Proceed to visit Cuchi Tunnels. Transfer to Phanthiet. Rest of day at leisure on the beach.
Itinerary
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City arrival (D)
On arrival, meet and transfer to Hotel. City tour in the afternoon: The tour will include a visit to Cholon, Saigon's Chinatown and home to Vietnam’s biggest market, the Reunification Palace and the War Crimes museum. Shopping at Binhtay Market. This evening we will head out for a night on the town. Overnight in Hochiminh City.
Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City – Vinhlong - Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)
We set off this morning for a drive through the Mekong Delta to Caibe floating market. Here we will board our private boat for a cruise along the maize of waterways and canals to Vinhlong. We will stop at the home of a Bonsai gardener for a sumptuous delta lunch, and to meet "Monty" before continuing our exploration of the tributaries and canals of the delta.
Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City – Tayninh – Cuchi - Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)
This morning will start with a 1 hour and 45 minute drive to visit the Cuchi Tunnels. This amazing network of tunnels which stretched for over 250 kilometers, and was three levels deep, gives the visitor a unique experience and a feel of what underground life in the American war was like. From here we have another hour drive top Tayninh, the headquarters for the Cao Dai Sect, whose patron saints include Joan of Arc, Victor Hugo and Winton Churchill.
Day 4: Ho Chi Minh City – Phanthiet (B)
Transfer to Phanthiet. Rest of day at leisure on the beach. Overnight in Phanthiet.
Day 5: Phanthiet - Ho Chi Minh City (B)
Visit sand dunes and fishing village of Mui Ne. Transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City. O/N in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 6: Ho Chi Minh City – departure (B)
Free till transfer to airport for departure flight.
