Nham Thin Spring Newspaper Festival 2012 begins in Ha Giang

The Spring Newspaper Festival 2012 and a photo exhibition entitled “Ha Giang – The City I love,” co-organized by the Ha Giang provincial Journalists’ Association and the city’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Department of Information and Communication, opened on February 2nd 2012.
The Spring Newspaper Festival 2012 showcases almost 500 spring newspapers and publications, including local and central ones, and chosen works under the theme “Ha Giang - The City I love” on the occasion of the 1st anniversary of Ha Giang foundation. They include photos, documentary and art works of authors and photographers working at Ha Giang Literature and Arts Association.
On behalf of Ha Giang leaders, Mr Vuong Mi Vang, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council highly appreciated the achievements and contributions of Ha Giang journalism and Ha Giang Journalists’ Association to the country’s innovation, industrialization and modernization.
He also specified the shortcomings in press activities, as well as activities of the associations in all levels; encouraging them to determine the direction, mission, and solutions to improve the quality and effect of their activities in the next term to successfully implement their tasks under the 15th resolution of Ha Giang’s Assembly.
The Spring Newspaper Festival 2012 and the “Ha Giang – The City I Love” photo exhibition will run until February 8th 2012.
