New gateway to explore Hanoi launched

Tourists to the capital city of Hanoi, especially Hoan Kiem district, can now easily search for information and images about tourism spots through a newly launched information gateway called Hoankiem360 and an app of the same name.
Young tourists from the northern province of Thai Nguyen is spending their weekend visiting Hanoi. To collect information for their trip, they use an application called Hoankiem360. The app is a collection of comprehensive tourism solutions, which helps saving time and provides information for visitors to the city.
"We have to search information before going anywhere. There are many websites, but the hoankiem360 can provide us the most information with high fidelity," said Thanh Nga, a tourist from Thai Nguyen.
Van Manh, another visitor from Thai Nguyen said that the app is easy to use and the images are nice and detailed.
Hoankiem360 is run on both smart phones and website All the images are 3D ones, giving full images of each tourism hot spot.
There is also an automated voice system, in both Vietnamese and English to introduce about each destination.
Thanh Nga said the app should provide more information about the transports to other places in Hanoi.
Cao Thu Ha, head of the Hanoi Culture and Information Division, said that the website is at its first stage as it only provides tourists with general information about destinations and hotels.
However, if any bussinesses want to promote their services, the app will cooperate with the bussinesses to provide more details about their services, she added.
Such products like Hoankiem 360 is expected to help attract more tourists, while upholding the city’s strength in architecture and culture values.
