Bookmark and Share

The second Diwali Fest 2017, the annual Indian light festival, will be held at the Indian Cultural Centre, No.63 Tran Hung Dao Street, Hoan Kiem District, in Ha Noi, at 5pm on October 27.
Visitors to the festival will have the chance to enjoy traditional and modern dances, as well as learning more about the land and people of India through unique cultural activities, such as Henna painting, cuisine tasting, traditional handicrafts and the custom of solemn candle-light displays.
Diwali, which is one of the largest and most important festivals in India, is held annually in late October or early November to welcome the New Year according to the calendar of the Hindu people.
During the festival, every street in India sparkles with lights and fireworks, creating an impressive and shimmering spectacle. Currently, the Diwali festival is celebrated in thirteen different countries around the world.
The event was jointly organised by the Indian Embassy in Viet Nam and the Indian Business Chamber in Viet Nam (INCHAM).
