    The World Heritage area of Halong Bay
    Has for years been the prime tourist attraction in northern Vietnam with thousands of islands and islets include approximately 1,000 islands are named. The islands are infinitely varied in shape, evoking all kinds of animals, hence their names: Dragon Island, Monkey Island, Toad Islet, Turtle Islet, Fighting Cock Islet, and so on. Ships and motor boats are available to cruise among the many islands and caves, allowing to explore hidden marvels of nature.


    Halong Bay

    Royal Zoo Island
    Just 200m from shore, it has rare animals such as the white fox and white snake, birds and turtles.

    Monkey Island
    Is a good place to see the unique red-nose monkey.

    Tra Co Beach
    Situated on the east border of Vietnam and China where many beautiful sceneries can be seen (Tra Co Temple, Linh Khanh Pagoda, Doi Temple...). Tra Co is considered one of the country's longest beaches with 15 km of smooth sand beaches.

    Van Don Island
    50km northeast of Halong City, it has 600 islets and a botanical garden.

    Yen Tu Mountain
    40km northwest of Halong City, the peak rises high above the vast northeastern mountain range, it boasts picturesque scenery and 13th century Buddhist pagodas, Yen Tu was classified by many royal dynasties as "the most beautiful mountain" in the country.

    Thien Cung Grotto
    Lies at 15m above sea level and was discovered in 1995 by a fisherman, the tourists will bee attracted by the multiform stalactites and stalagmites founded in Thien Cung Grotto.

    Dau Go Grotto
    Is one of the most beautiful grottoes in Halong Bay. The grotto has three chambers: Many stone stalactites and stalagmites of different shapes and colors are fascinating in the large chamber, the walls of the second chamber sparkle when bright light is shined on, in the final chamber there is a cool, fresh water well. That are the reasons why French tourists called Dau Go Grotto " Grotto des Merveilles".

    Established in 1888, Haiphong is situated on the coast of the East Sea. Haiphong offers many historical sites, temples, pagodas, mausoleums, and shrines, all proofs of a rich traditional life.


    Van Hoa-Do Son-Haiphong

    Du Hang Pagoda
    The pagoda was built in the Early Ly dynasty (980 - 1009). Tran Nhan Tong King (1258 - 1308), a devout Buddhist used to preach at the pagoda. The pagoda is classified as a historical site with many relics: Buddha statuses, bronze urns, bells, gongs and the prayer book of Trang A Ham, an ancient Buddhist script.

    Hang Kenh Communal House
    Was built in 1856 and was expanded in 1905. The communal house is famous for its valuable wooden sculptures: 156 pieces with the dragon as the main theme. There are altogether 308 dragons of different shapes and sizes. The pagoda also houses a statue of Ngo Quyen King and a palanquin.

    Do Son Beach
    The town of Do Son is located approximately 22 kms southwest of the center of Haiphong City, in between the mouths of the rivers Lach Tray and Van Uc. This is a forested and mountainous peninsula that extends roughly 5kms into the Eastern Sea.

    Cat Ba Island - Cat Ba National Park
    The largest island in Halong Bay has numerous lakes, waterfalls and grottoes and a huge national park that is home to more than 20 species of mammals, 69 species of birds and 20 species of reptiles and amphibians. The whitehead Vooc, an endangered bird species, is found on the cliffs separating the island from the sea. The yellow monkey, the chamois, many beautiful bird such as the Cao cat, the king fisher, the Hut Mat and the dau riu also live on the island. Cat Ba National Park has the largest area of tropical virgin forests in Vietnam. According to research, there are 745 species of plants, 495 lines of descent, 149 families, among which are 350 medicinal plants such as Cho Doi, Trai Ly, Lat Hoa, Kim Giao and Va Nuoc.
